EGX formed a Sustainability Advisory Committee in 2016 whose main goal for the first year is to issue a Model Guidance for the sustainability report for listed companies, as well as setting the criteria for green finance.

EGX Sustainability Committee provides the necessary consultations to manage sustainability at EGX. It is a voluntary committee, which includes a number of experts working in the field of sustainability.

The main objectives of the Sustainability Committee are to provide guidance on sustainability related matters and to participate in issuing the Sustainability Report. This committee will enable EGX to efficiently manage sustainability in view of market participants’ effective contribution, especially since the Committee formation represents various sustainability stakeholders.
